Hi. Um... Some of you probably don't know me but, um... I'm Adelle fon Fabre. And I've been frozen for a long time, but... When I first got here f-four...years ago... Uh, we made something called the Future Brainbreakers. Are...I mean, I know Kimiko's here...but is anyone else-- a-are any of you left?

And-- oh, um. If you don't know-- we're like...a club, kinda. If you're-- well, if your parents or your aunts and uncles or something are from the past and they say you're from the future or you haven't been born yet, then... Then that's it. We're like a...support group.

Wow... you've been here a long time.

More've been here longer. Was kinda asleep for...'bout a year and a half. So... s'not all bad. Made friends. Piyomon.

Why were you asleep that long?

You know what a data freeze is? It's where you become a statue for awhile 'cause Yggdrasil's mean. And that happened to me 'nd Piyomon.

Oh. ... that's a really long data freeze.

.. probably better than where I'm stuck right now though.

You're stuck somewhere?! D'you need help? Brainbreakers help each other, okay, so if you need help, me and Piyomon'll come to your rescue.

N-no, I'm not in trouble! I'm... sick. Really sick. I'm in the hospital in Axyori.

O-oh... ...You can get not-sick, right? I hope you get better soon. Being sick isn't any fun.

I need an organ transplant. The doctors say my kidneys failed 'cause of something my real mom or dad had...

[For a moment, there is silence. Heavy breathing, maybe. But mostly silence. An intake of breath, then...silence.]

...Can't. Um. You gotta...get another...so...and... S'there anyway you can get one? Anyone who can...give one?

[oops. he broke her.]

I dunno... tou-san and papi have been tryin' to, but I guess they haven't found anything yet.

[there's a quiet sniffle]

I know they want to help me... b-but it's not like there's... a donor list or anything here.

[Aw, it's okay, kid, she's been broken a lot.]

...D'you got...I mean-- does the person giving one have to be, um. Dead? 'Cause...there's a ton of people with 'em, right? I think.

[he still feels bad]

Oh uhm... they can be living or dead, Papi said. It's just finding some one that matches me that's the problem.

[Uh oh. The sound you here -- a snap! -- is the sound of goggles snapping up on to her forehead.]

Then let's find one! Okay, Dai, y'know what? I'm not gonna stop 'til I find you a match! I'll look all over, I'll-- I'll, um. How d'you know if it matches or not?

[that was an odd sound]

R-really... you'd do that for me... ?

u-uhm... they have to do a lot of tests... people might not like that...

Well, too bad! There's a kid's life at stake! They'll do the tests, I'll make 'em!

And 'course I would! I told you, we help out. And since Ave's not here anymore...I guess I'm the leader, so... I look out for my own!

[he is really, really not used to people being this nice to him. Or this insistent to help.]

Aw, I won't! Mama and Papa and Asch and everyone-- I know 'bout pushing myself too hard. But 'm real stubborn too. I get it from Mama and Papa. So I'm not gonna just not try.
