First Quest [Video]

[The camera comes on and one can see the Chess Kingdom, a town in the Kingdom actually. White, black, and gray patters make up all of the buildings and even the ground. It moved to capture a glimpse at Sir Lancelot as he continues to walk and complain to himself.]

I will find this dryad and force him to send me back. I will not allow some false god to presume he may summon me whenever he likes. I must return to Camelot.

But Sir Knight, it is impossible. The will of the God Tree is absolute.

This god tree, as you call him, will fall by my blade. I will not stand for his. I will return home and continue my vigilance for my King.

Such honor and loyalty you have! Truly you are worthy of being my Tamer! Come sir! Together we may smite the evil that plagues this world and you shall then be able to return to your world!

[Lancelot stops and slowly turns around.]

Speak more of this evil.

[Before you hear further, the camera cuts out.]

Nor am I any duplicate of him.

I am Sir Lancelot of the Lake, Knight of the Round Table, resident of Camelot. I know not or care not about this Shadow or his many falsehoods.

Many exist in the multiverse. There exists many duplicates across that of Shadow, of Rouge, of Sonic the Hedgehog, and assuredly my own self.

The Sonic in this world is not the Sonic from mine. He knows a Shadow from mine, and I know a different duplicate of Sonic from my own reality.

You are a variation of Shadow the Hedgehog, just as this world's Sonic the Hedgehog is a variation of mine. That is not a falsehood.

I see now what you mean. Perhaps you are correct. I know the true King Arthur was not from my world but another, summoned by magic. I may sound and look like this Shadow you speak of, and in some sense we may be the same yet we are different.

You speak with wisdom far beyond most.

It is good that you come to that last conclusion so quickly.

Perhaps you are at least somewhat similar to my Shadow in more respects than appearance and voice.

I cannot be expected to divulge the secrets of someone like that so readily.

All I will say - for now - is that Shadow the Hedgehog is a being known as the "Ultimate Life Form" and largely lives up to that title.
