[The camera comes on and one can see the Chess Kingdom, a town in the Kingdom actually. White, black, and gray patters make up all of the buildings and even the ground. It moved to capture a glimpse at Sir Lancelot as he continues to walk and complain to himself.]

I will find this dryad and force him to send me back. I will not allow some false god to presume he may summon me whenever he likes. I must return to Camelot.

But Sir Knight, it is impossible. The will of the God Tree is absolute.

This god tree, as you call him, will fall by my blade. I will not stand for his. I will return home and continue my vigilance for my King.

Such honor and loyalty you have! Truly you are worthy of being my Tamer! Come sir! Together we may smite the evil that plagues this world and you shall then be able to return to your world!

[Lancelot stops and slowly turns around.]

Speak more of this evil.

[Before you hear further, the camera cuts out.]

Should one follow the way of Chivalry and protect the innocent, they may be a Knight once they have proved themselves.

I am well of body, Sarasim of the Hyperion. What do you know of this land I have found myself in and the evil of these evil Demon Kings my partner has spoken of?

It is a great and wide variety of evil that plagues this land. The Demon Kings work in darkness and their influence is rarely seen directly. Instead the majority of pain and suffering is brought by smaller less powerful criminals. Everything from the thief to mad doctors intent on warping the very fabric of creation for their own twisted pleasure.

I have taken position at a local Inn that takes inn those who cannot pay their way when they first arrive "The Hyperion Hotel" I also am a member of the citizen army known as DATS. They are good noble people.

I see. Then they truly are demons. Working through darkness and trickery rather than attacking themselves.

This inn. Where can I find it? And I wish to hear more about this citizen army known as DATS. What Kingdom do they battle for?

As for the army, DATS fights for the world at large. There are strongholds in different cities and their warriors are spread far and wide.

[Sarasim will be waiting outside the main gate keeping her eyes open for a knightlike figure, while she herself is clad in jeans and a T-shirt.]

[It won't be too long before Sarasim will see the knightlike figure zooming towards her. He skates over the ground with ease, fire seeming to be coming from the bottom of his greaves. On his back is a PawnChessmon Black, it's spear pointed forward.]

And there is the lady now, Sir Knight!

[Lancelot nods and comes to a halt in front of her. He's much shorter than her, only reaching around three and a half feet in height. His partner dismounts and both give Sarasim a bow.]

Greetings, Sarasim. I think you again for all your assistance.

[Smiles politely and gives a nod]

Of course Sir Knight. We warriors of justice must stick together when called upon for a cause greater then ourselves.

[Turning to lead him back into the Hyperion]

This is the Hyperion Hotel. A safe haven for tamers and their Digimon partners. A community of support and understanding has blossomed here nourished by the strength of their warriors and the soothing spirit and heart of it's people.

I see. So this place is a fortress of sorts for the just and good.

[The knight nodded as he followed Sarasim towards the strange looking structure.]

Tell me, why do all of these structures look as they do? I have never seen anywhere with such architecture.

In theory...the innkeeper prefers to keep his doors option to those of any alignment provided they don't cause trouble. But more often then not those with wickedness in their hearts do things that cause them to be ejected from our land.

[She smiles thoughtfully at his next question]

I am not sure. Our building looks as it does because of renovations and improvements made by the owner, but much of this world's structure seems based on...well the Innkeeper called it a "Rule of cool" where the looks of something are more important then it's function.

I see. The innkeeper is far more lenient that I would be.

[The knight scoffed at the second explanation.]

Function should take higher priority than how something looks. Castles are a perfect balance of both. Camelot Castle is both beautiful and strong. I see no reason to obey this "Rule of Cool".

[She smirks at him]

It seems you and I are in agreement then. But despite how eccentric he can be at times the Innkeeper is very wise. He has the ability to see someones intentions, sometimes their history, or their future.

[That last bit of news caught the hedgehog's attention and he slowly raised his helmet's mask to expose his face.]

Truly? Hmm...may I speak with him?

[She smiles warmly]

[She leads him through the lobby to the bar where Lorne is almost always, and today he's on the stage singing]

A lady known as Paris, Romantic and Charming
Has left her old companions and faded from view

Lonely men with lonely eyes are seeking her in vain
Her streets are where they were, but there's no sign of her

She has left the Seine

The last time I saw Paris, her heart was warm and gay,
I heard the laughter of her heart in every street café

I dodged the same old taxicabs that I had dodged for years.
The chorus of their squeaky horns was music to my ears.

No matter how they change her, I'll remember her that way.

I'll think of happy hours, and people who shared them
Old women, selling flowers, in markets at dawn

Children who applauded, Punch and Judy in the park
And those who danced at night and kept our Paris bright

'til the town went dark.

[there's scattered applause from a couple digimon, a female sitting behind some drums, and a bark from a little white dog wagging it's tail.]

[The knight joins in the applause and looks to Sarasim for confirmation.]

The singing demon? He is the innkeeper?

[She nods]

Don't let his appearance out you off. He's one of the kindest souls I've met.

[Lorne has slipped off the stage and is heading for the bar.]

[Lancelot nods and watches the demon for a minute before walking towards Lorne.]

Excuse me, sir. You are the innkeeper, yes?

[A cheerful smile and a nod]

Please call me Lorne, nice to meet you! Get you a drink? Or maybe you'd like to sing a song?

Actually my interest lies in you, Lorne. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Sir Lancelot of the Lake, Knight of the Round Table.

[The Knightly hedgehog gave a bow to the demon. He could sense no ill intent from him, no blood lust. It would seem not all demons were evil.]

Well well! An honor to host such a famous and well spiked knight! A pleasure to meet you.

[A casual thumbs up as he starts to mix himself a drink]

The pleasure is all mine. Sir Sarasim tells me you allow new arrivals of this world to stay here and offer them protection. I wished to meet the gracious host of this inn.

Oh yeah! Hey thanks!

See I got the idea from this other inn on the floating island of Tetha. Great place really. Back home I used to run a bar where good, evil and inbetween could sit down and have a drink in peace. This place started out like that and has become the hip happening home you see today!

[pours the drink and sips it pleasantly]

I see. I have been offered a location to stay by another but I would ask your permission if I may be apart of your inn's defense forces.
