[ Hello, Digital World! It's been a while since you've seen this mop of blond hair with a serene looking smile on her face. In fact, there's two ghosts floating around her with one on her shoulder. She's in a red kimono with her hair done up in a very nice way with two swords strapped to her back. ]

Er, right. Please excuse that previous conversation. My partner was explaining this strange device to me and I'm not that great at technology just yet.

Anyway!

My name is Hikari-Asakura Hoshi, and it's a pleasure to meet every single one of you. If anyone from home is here, I'd be more than happy to meet up with you.

[ There's a big gust of wind picking up with Hoshi giving off a little shiver. ]

Anyways... I know you were here a while before I showed up. When I did... well, I should explain what I am first. But suffice it to say, my actions were...

[ Hoshi listens as Pidonus explains what she did as she looks a bit puzzled. ]

Not good ones, I'd imagine?

... Well. I'm a Succubus. A creation of a demon queen, granted the power to use people's desires to control them.

Until the day I arrived in this world, my soul was hers. I was an extension of her will, only independent as was convenient or amusing for her. As of now, that's lasted a bit over half of my life.

So when I came here and lost communication... I didn't understand what having true free will was.

So I see.

Was I able to give you meaning in your life, then?

... You were a victim, actually. I decided the best way I could exist was to follow her will, or my guess at it, and try to conquer this world for her... So I charmed several people into serving me and helping me plot.

I... Don't know if you broke free or not... But you ultimately swatted sense into me. Until that moment, I didn't see that I had my own ability to really choose. That I didn't have to be...

I don't even know if i'd be alive now if it weren't for you. And I still don't know what happened with that truck of magma...

[ Hoshi looks perplexed for a moment or two before she smiles and gets up, giving Pidonus a quick hug. ]

I am glad that I was able to do that for you, Marasia-san. Don't feel the need to beat yourself up anymore, all right? If there's anything remaining from that time, I will help you out.

... If only it were that easy. I ended up joining DATS, an organization that faces the evils of this world, and I've been learning to fight, but...

The temptation's still there. My powers haven't weakened from lack of use. They're a part of me that I have to resist, lest I simply become what I was once more.

It... it isn't easy. And it's hard to describe.

Have you thought of putting some sort of restrictive spell on them?

I... Don't think that'd go well either. My powers are borne, more or less, of my desire, and that of others. Were I to suppress my powers, who's to say I wouldn't stunt my personality somehow in the process?

It isn't like a wizard, whose interaction with magic is borne of study. More like a sorcerer. The magic's part of you, fundamentally.

Even though it's my first day here, I can try to figure out some way to channel your powers into something good so that you're not losing yourself in the process.

[ Although, Pidonus' explanation has helped simplify matters. Furyoku is just as innate in her as it is in everything else... ]

I think I might have a way, but it'll take a while.

Jinx just thinks I need an outlet - someone willing to let me use my powers on them so that I don't feel as much urge to use it otherwise. Maybe she's right. It's hard to say when it comes to such things, though... Thus why I'm kinda scared to try it.

Funny, how much I can see about how humans tick, but how little I know myself.

I wouldn't do it, if I were you. Like I said, I'll think of something so that you can use your powers and not be afraid of them.

A... All right...

Good. Also, I think the tea's ready.

Ah.

*This part, Pid knows. Carefully lifting the kettle, two swishes, then pour into Hoshi's cup. Then set it down - you do not pour your own tea.*

[ This is something Hoshi likes as she decides to go pour Pid's tea effortlessly. ]

... It's nice to be able to see you again, Hoshi. Even if you don't remember who I was...

*And then Pid takes a calm sip of her tea. Her manner is imperfect, but notably puts focus on slowly savoring the flavors.*

It's funny, the parts of me that I couldn't give up given the choice.

There's nothing saying I can't at least try things, right?

[ She takes a sip of her own tea, savoring the flavors as well. ]

For a time, I wasn't sure if seeing spirits, ghosts or demons was a good thing, so I wanted to try to get rid of the power itself. But, as I grew up, I accepted it as a part of me and decided to use it to the best of my advantage. I believe that we can do the same for you, too, Marasia-san.

Let me put it this way.

I can see in the dark. I can fly without resorting to magical power. I don't have to eat, drink, or sleep. I can shapeshift freely, and regenerate from most injuries quickly as a result.

It just comes with a libido that makes me want to use the ones I don't use for purposes I don't want to use them for.

[ Hoshi nods, again mentally noting this down. ]

Well, we won't know until we try.

... You've grown, Hoshi. It's... Interesting to see the differences.

I couldn't stay as that kid who used to be reckless for all the wrong reasons, now could I?

[ Even if she did fight to protect her name, amongst other things. ]
