digital_dive | 2nd Keyhole [Accidental Video/Audio]

[The video opens up to a beautiful beach. The sun is just barely in the frame, the beautiful rays shining down on the water. The camera moves around for a bit before you hear the click of a button being pressed. Then a voice off-screen speaks.]

Huh? It didn't work.

Oh come on!

click. click. click.

Stupid thing!

[The view moves again to see spiky brown hair and a fist comes down again and again on the screen of the D-Comm.]

Why won't you take a picture you stupid thing?!

[There's a few more whacks before a rather large hand shoots out to grab the D-Comm from it's incompetent owner. It's a Koemon. He stares at the D-Comm for a bit and behind him, and a bit out of focus, you can see his spiky brown-haired Tamer squat down behind him and look over his shoulder.]

What are you doing?

[There's a few button's pressed and the feed turns to audio.]

Oh! That's how you do it! I turned on the camera on accident. Oops.

Heh heh heh. Thanks Koe!

Thanks Koe. You know, this beach is a lot like the one I have back in my world. Reminds me of home. We should go out and explore today. Come on!

[And with one last click, the audio cuts out.]

Well... she was activated a little over a year ago... but she was made to be about seven or eight.

oh, no no no! Hanako isn't human. Nether am I. We're androids. I'm only four years old as of this year. Hanako is a year old. That's... just how we work. We're not born, we're built.

[Sora laughed.]

I see. Wait, you're only four? But you look a lot older and act a lot older too.

No, no, it's alright. I... get so wrapped up in the conversation I forget to explain that sometimes.

[she nods]

That's just how we're made. My "older" sister looks and acts younger than I do, but my "younger" one looks almost the same age as I am. It's... a little confusing to anyone who isn't in our family or hasn't known us a really long time...

"I'm not sure I really get it but...okay. Well you're still being really nice to me so it doesn't matter what you are or how old you are. I think you're cool Haku.

[quiet giggle]

Well... that's fine. Like I said, it's confusing. I'm glad you think I'm cool though, Sora-kun.

You're welcome! So Haku, do you know how to take pictures with this thing?

Pictures? Oh, yes. Actually there's a really easy way to do it! If you press the button at the top of your D-Comm so it locks, then press the center button, there's a little picture of a camera down near the bottom. Touch that, and your camera function comes up! You can do this any time your D-Comm is locked.

Wow! It's that easy? Koe had to go through the icon things. That makes it a lot easier. Thanks Haku!

So where do you live? I'm on Axoryi and I'm hoping to hop on a boat to the mainland.

Oh, I'm in Neon City, at the Hyperion. Axyori is nice, though. I've got a few friends who live there. One of them is actually going to have a real baby soon!

Oh neat! Neon City, huh? I wonder if I can get a boat to take me there. What is it like?

Hmn... I don't know if boats actually travel to the different continents. That'd be something interesting to try after being here for so long!

Oh, it's a very large city. You probably won't even see most of it in just one day.

Sounds like fun! I wanna see it. I've never really gotten to see really big cities before. I mean, I've been to London once but I didn't see much besides the giant clock tower there.

Oh, London is beautiful. I'm used to large cities, I was created in Tokyo, Japan after all. But I really think each city has their own charm and beauty. Same with the cities here.

Then I wanna see them all! All the cities here! I want to explore them all!

[laughs in amusement]

Well yeah! I mean, I'm in a big new world. I wanna see all of it before I have to leave.
