Well, students, everyone who dreaded Instructor Gaav's concentration under fire courses will no doubt be relieved to know that he appears to have been sent home. I will continue his courses for the rest of the semester, with consultation from experts on the black magic courses, but I'm afraid I don't have the kick that he does. For as rough as his classes were, they offered good training for what they were...

I'm just glad it never happened around headquarters. When Gaav did things, he didn't do them small. Half of his budget went to training field repairs...

Personally? I'm disappointed. Sure, he was a demon, but he seemed to be amenable enough. A few more years, and we might have broken through that shell of his.

And let's face it, from everything I know, you and he only came into conflict because of ANOTHER demon's plan.

I've seen your arsenal, Lina. I don't think you have too much to worry about with losing that one. Besides, a little more creativity with what you've got will do you some good.

...I can't say I enjoyed the classes...but I have benefited from them.

Indeed you have. I've been watching everyone carefully in those classes. ... Especially with Gaav's teaching style.

Each of you has been holding your concentration under pressure better than some of the heroes back home.

So long as we continue with his teachings then he'll still be with us then.

Pity. I can't say I enjoyed the class itself but the lessons I learned from it, I believe, have been worth while.

You know, I suspect that's going to be an echoed sentiment among the students.

But it's one I share. His style was unorthodox, but effective.

There may be a way to recreate a similar structure to the class without the more unorthodox elements.

Oh, I can recreate the structure of the class, easily.

But the unorthodox elements are what made you all adapt to it so quickly. We have similar courses in Paragon. I have not seen ANY classes that had the results Gaav brought out of you all.

And while I am of the mind that you are all some of the brightest students I've ever seen... It's still saying something.

The feel of it being life or death truly helped. Knowing if we weren't smart or fast enough that we would be seriously hurt was what drove us all on.

That's it exactly. I... can't really recreate that.

And even if I could, not to Gaav's extent.

Make her angry enough and Rita Mordio might be able to.

Mmmm.... Deadly enough, yes, but I doubt she'd have the control if she were so angry.

Good thought, though.
