What does someone who knows only combat do for work?

Well, I chose to go work with DATS. Good combatants are very useful there, and they can teach you how to fill some other work.

Eh, I've been finding that I end up doing both. I guess that ain't usual, just that the Hyperion's got the bar so they overlap sometimes.

It's certainly crossed my mind, though I am still uncertain of how that would work with the way I'm used to operating... And that WOULD require convincing Mako of the same.

I have not fully dismissed the thought, mind you, I am just assessing all of my options.

Oh, there are plenty of things you could do. You could join DATS if you prefer to have a steady job, or you could do security and protection in the private sector.

Or you could always make a living teaching others how to protect themselves.

Nothing says you can't put those skills you've got to other use.

I'm a mercenary, not the most glorious of work, but when there's fighting to be done, I can always count on a good paycheck.

When there's NOT fighting to be done... These muscles have to find other work. I've found a lot of people are glad to have a strong guy on hand for construction, and a strong guy that knows how to fight is great for work projects in less than peaceful areas.

I'm sure there's other work you can find, too. A strong body will always have uses somewhere.

I would second the idea of instructing others, if you could manage it. At DATS and on my own time, I run an archery instruction course.

As a person who is so in tune with fighting its just silly-

I do whatever job I can get honestly. Because Bounty Hunting, my job back in my world, is a bit hard when there's a chance of someone that's wanted being able to shoot a laser the size of a city block at you.

There are always people who need to learn to defend themselves, so it probably wouldn't be too hard to find someone wanting to learn.

I'm certain you could find something to which your talents would be of use...perhaps a form of security? Or, well, you could learn all sorts of new things! Like how to cook, or how to build things, or perhaps I could even teach you how to sew!
