First Keyhole [Video]

[The video comes on to show a spiky brown haired boy on the screen. His blue eyes stare at the screen for a moment and tilts his head.]

Is this thing on? Hellooooooo?!

[He gives the D-Comm a shake before smiling.]

HEY! RIKUUUUUUUUU! YOU THERE?! HEEEEEEEY!

[He waits for a moment, as if he is expecting a reply right there.]

Tron? Are you in this thing? Donald?! Goofy?! Did you get dragged here too? Let me know okay? I made a new friend!

[The camera moves to a small green monkey that just stares up at the screen for a moment before Sora brings it back to him.]

Let me know where you guys are okay? We need to find the keyhole and get to the next world!

[And the camera cuts out.]

Sora! Yes, I'm here. Though...this isn't any system I've seen before. To be honest I assumed this was the user world.

TRON! Hey! Huh? A user world you say? I don't know. Seems strange. People I've asked kept saying it was called the Digital World. Course, I kind of fell in the water when I got here.

That's what I've heard as well but...it all feels different. It's hard to explain, but...I feel human almost, either that or this world is simply projecting feelings of humanity on me. I...feel hungry. I've never felt hunger before. And I was nauseous when I first arrived here...I thought I'd somehow been transported out of the system and into Radiant Garden but, well, obviously not.

That's not good! If you're hungry you should eat! Where are you? We should get food together! I'm on a beach in a place called Axoryi. I'm hoping we can find the keyhole and seal this world. That's why we were sent here.

Of course! I've always wanted to try that spicy stuff Yuffie talks about, it sounds interesting! I'm...nowhere near a beach. I'm in the middle of a run down city.

A run-down city! That's no good. We need to find each other. Hmm...the monkey that's following me around won't talk to me though. Can you ask yours where you are?

Apparently I'm in a place called Junk City, and we can...transport through the world through lampost? Unfortunately my partner isn't very talkative either.

Why are they both so quiet? That doesn't help at all. Hmm...Junk City. I'll start asking where that is and see if I can get to you.

Alright. I'll start asking around about the beach too.

I know we can do it! If we put our heads together we can find each other and then start looking for the keyhole. Keep an eye out for Heartless and Dream Eaters, okay?

Sora I...

I don't believe our directive is as simple as that.

My partner, V-mon, has suggested that our directive is perhaps different from that which we are used to.

Tron's right. It's not as simple as you think kid. Everyone's been brought here to try and fight off a great threat, and it's not as simple as just sealing off the darkness to the world or some fairy tale notion like that. It's a real threat, and the only way to stop it is gonna be to kill the head honchos at the top of the chain. And even then, who know's if Yggdrasil will send everyone home? He's got this weird way of liking to mess with people for his amusement.

[Watch Sora groan and hang his head...and three seconds later recover.]

We can do it! I mean, Tron and I destroyed the MCP. I defeated Xehanort's Heartless and Xemnas, along with all of Organization XIII. I beat Maleficent and her evil group too. Once we beat these guys, we'll find the keyhole, lock the world, and make this Yggdrasil guy send us all home.

...Fine, whatever. Don't come crying to me though when you end up dead.

...V-mon that was uncalled for.

I don't care. If he can't wake up to reality petty insults are the least of his worries.

Hey! How tough can these Demon Kings be? I mean, I've fought plenty of strong people. They can't be that bad.

... Keyhole?

Yeah. I'm looking for the keyhole of this world.

... Wait, what are you talking about?

You realize this might not be the kind of world you're used to, right?

It has to be. Every world has a keyhole because every world as a door to it's heart. And every world as a heart so all of them have to have keyholes.

... That seems pretty circular to me.

Besides which, there's a bigger problem here. This world may not be like the others you've been to.

What with the whole 'pulling from thousands of other worlds' thing.

Well this is a sleeping world. It probably doesn't go by the usual world rules.

... Not sure how 'sleeping' I'd call this place, but okay.

Well the world is sleeping, not the people. We have to wake it up and if we do, it should go back to normal. But we have the evil head honchos I was told about first. We need to get rid of them and then we can find the keyhole.

Huh.

That could take a bit. I'd guess that's the Seven Demon Kings, since Chaosmon already got dropped a while back.

That's what people have been telling me. I guess I'll just have to keep looking.

[Loud noise has attracted Toothless, causing him to nudge the device with a huff.]

[Sora only has to take one look at the screen before his eyes light up with excitement.]

WHOA! A dragon! Awesome!

...Wait. Why does a dragon have one of these phone-thingies?

[Elecmon yawns and slides down Toothless' wing.]

Is EVERYONE psyched about dragons or something?

Well yeah! I mean, I've only seen two dragons. Mushu, and he's really tiny and Maleficent turned into a dragon once. She was huge and tried to eat me and my friends, but we put her in her place.

Oh. Well you're part of the long line of "OH MY GOD IT's A DRAGON!"s I've heard since he got here.

[Toothless will be shutting him up by stepping on him now.]

Well dragons are awesome!

[And Sora's just going to laugh.]

I'm Sora! What's your guys's names?

[Toothless looks smug at Sora's words, eventually letting his partner crawl free.] Well the dragon digimon might like you at least.

Anyway, I'm Elecmon and that's Toothless. [Toothless rumbles a greeting.]

Nice to meet you Elecmon, Toothless. So can you really understand him, Elecmon? Cause that's pretty awesome too, you know.

Of course I can. He's my partner after all. Not that he talks a lot.

Yeah but that means you speak dragon! You're awesome Elecmon!

[Elecmon might be blushing, and Toothless is definitely amused.]

So do you both wanna be my friends?

[The dragon and digimon look at each other.]

Sure why not.

Awesome! [Sora just smiles brightly at the two.] We're friends then!
