[The camera comes on to show an enormous man standing with his red cloak around his body, the Net Ocean stretching out in the background and nothing other than the waves and the horizon to focus on besides him. He looks even taller than he is since whoever is holding the camera is so much shorter than him and has to point the camera up slightly to get his face in the shot along with the rest of his body. The man spreads his arms, his cloak billowing for an instant before it comes to rest behind his shoulders, revealing ancient Greek armor beneath. When he speaks, it's in a voice that doesn't need a microphone to be heard clearly over the roar of the waves.]

Everyone! Cease what you are doing and listen to the words of the king!

[He lowers his arms and his cloak slips forward to cover them again.]

I am Iskandar, King of Conquerors! Those who come from my world may know me better as "Alexander the Great". In this world I am of the Xros Tamer class, and I wish to make a proposition. [He looks directly at you. Yes, you watching this video, whoever and wherever you are, he's looking at you specifically. He spreads his arms in the air again and clenches his fists.] What do you say to joining my army? Together, we shall share the joy of conquering this world, trampling the Demon Kings and all who oppose us beneath our feet! [A huge grin.] What say you?

King of Conquerors huh? Nice to meet you. I'm Izaya Orihara.

Such is one of the titles I have been given. I like it.

The pleasure is mine as well. Tell me, though. Are there many people from the eastern lands here? Or is it simply a coincidence that many of them have chosen to speak with me already?

Well people tend to jump at talking to someone who makes such a bold declaration when they first arrive.

As for these eastern lands, you'll have to be more specific.

Of course, how foolish of me. "Japan" was the name of the land I spent time in. Many of the names there sounded similar to yours.

Well I hear there are others from Japan but not the same Japan. People from all sorts of different worlds get pulled here. So one Japan is not just like another. Interesting, isn't it?

Indeed! I remember Aristotle saying he believed that the world might be round, but I do not expect that he would have believed that there might be other worlds!

Ahahaha! There are so many worlds and I have not yet conquered even one! Truly my achievements in life were small!

But you are one of the other people in history to be thought of as "The Great." Obviously, you did something right. You even made Caesar cry.

Caesar? Hm. The name is familiar to me, but I have no recollection of meeting that person in my lifetime.

He was a Roman Emperor. First one, in fact. His actions led to the creation of the Roman Empire. But he wasn't as successful as you. Took him longer to basically accomplish half of what you did. Story goes he visited a statue of you and broke down crying because he didn't measure up.

That is not the only time something like that has happened, but it is foolish to do. In the face of the world I am as small as anyone else. Trying to compare oneself to me leads nowhere, just as me comparing myself to Achilles leads nowhere. No two lives can ever be identical. One can only emulate the traits of another while living their own life.

Truer words were never spoken. [Izaya nods with a smile.] People just have the tendency to compare themselves to each other. Kind of pathetic how obsessed they can get over it sometimes.

"Pathetic" is perhaps not the best word. "Unfortunate" might be better.

I suppose if we want to be kinder about it.

I see no reason not to be.

Then not only are you the King of Conquerors but you are the kindest among the great leaders of your kind as well. No wonder your men were so loyal.
