[The camera comes on crookedly as it hits the ground, showing a frantically struggling and squeaking mouse being held up to Apollo's face in both fists. He grins.]

Gotcha.

[The mouse's squeaking and struggling abruptly ends when Apollo bites its head off. There's the faint sound of crunching bones as he stuffs the rest of it into his mouth with both hands, finally slurping up the tail like a noodle before licking his lips contentedly. He starts to bound off on all fours, then stops, pats a pocket, and returns for his D-Comm. The feed ends.]

[Apollo will wander up to the entrance with poor posture and his hands in his pockets, looking around for Jake.]

[Jake's on his skate board in the lobby, rolling back and forth across it as he waits. His partner is also in the lobby, sitting in one of the chairs and reading a book.]

[Apollo comes in and glances around, then walks over to Jake and... Huh. That's a weird scent. He leans in close and starts sniffing Jake.]

[Jake stops and opens his mouth to say hi but stops when the red head comes over and starts...sniffing him? Ooookay. This is weird.]

Um...there a problem, yo?

[Apollo sniffs for a while longer then straightens up.]

You smell of giant lizard and fire.

[Jake blanches when Apollo says that. He takes a step back and can feel himself starting to sweat.]

Um...well...that...I uh...[He looks over at his partner and gets an idea. He turns back to Apollo with a fake smile.] That's probably just my partner you smell. He...doesn't like the dark or sleeping alone so he shares my bed with me, yeah.

[No, Apollo's not buying this. Not from Jake's terrible acting, but from what he's smelling.]

You don't smell that much of digimon.

[Okay, it's going from bad to worse. He isn't buying it. He needs a distraction and fast.]

Why don't we go get that food I talked about, huh?

[Distraction: Success!]

Sure! Where is it?

[Level up!]

This way. [Jake motions for Apollo to follow him and gets back on his skate board. He pushes off and heads towards the kitchen.]

[Apollo follows, easily keeping pace.]

[Jake rolls right into the kitchen. The foods all prepared for dinner and it's quite a bit.]

What do you think? It's all you can eat too.

Smells good.

[Apollo heads for the nearest part of the spread and begins stuffing his face.]

[And crisis averted. Jake walks over and leans against the counter across from Apollo and his food.]

So how long have you been here?

[Apollo swallows enough to be able to talk around the rest of the food in his mouth.]

Over a year and a half.

Really? Wow. That's a long time. [Jake runs a hand through his hair as he thinks.]

So you ever get into fights or anything?

[He finishes chewing while Jake's talking and grabs something else, holding it next to his mouth while he responds.]

A few times. Not as much as in my world. I was in the fight against Chaosmon a while ago, but nothing since then.

[He stuffs the delayed food into his mouth.]

Chaosmon? Wasn't that the digimon that made the world pull a table-flip restart?

Yeah, there were a lot of people who fought it.

Sounds like it was one big bad. Glad everything's back to normal now though, right?

[Apollo hesitates in his shoveling of food into his mouth for a moment.]

Except for the island and most of the people who lived there. They didn't come back when the world restarted.

O-Oh...dang...

[Jake leans against the counter a little more now. He had heard the entire thing hadn't had the most happy of endings but no one had told him that yet.]

Yeah.

[Apollo resumes eating, but at a slightly slower pace than before.]

Well...the world was still saved. That's a good thing. And at least it's gone now forever, right?

It better be gone forever. I don't want it showing up again 12000 years from now or something.
