[Whoever has this comm doesn't seem to be doing very well. It clicks on to silence at first, but after a time the sound of sniffling and hiccuping can be heard.]

K-kaa-san... tou-san... I wanna go home... I--

[a sob sounds from the little girl, followed by a rustle of leaves. She gasps, and the connection is cut.]

[Some one near by is crying, though it's not as loud as it was a moment ago. When she hears the voice, she calls out tentatively]

H... hello... ?

[Hearing a voice, Rue walks cautiously toward it.]

Hello? I heard you over the D-Comm. Are you okay; do you need any help?

[There's a girl, no more than 11 or 12, sitting on her knees in a school uniform. On her lap is a Dorumon who is obviously injured, and she's petting him while she cries.

She looks up at the approaching person nervously, but calms a bit when she sees it's some one around her age. She sniffles and rubs at her eyes with one arm. Her other arm looks as though it's sustained a burn, and her ankle is swollen.]

Y-yes...

[Spotting the burn, Rue winces in sympathy remembering a similar wound she sustained in the arena. Unfortunately there aren't any sponsors sending silver parachutes with medicine here.

And now's not the time or place to be reminiscing about the Games. This girl needs her help right now.]

Hi. My name's Rue, and this is my partner Falcomon. We heard you over the D-Comm. Is it okay if I look at your arm?

[monasneverland]

[Monako nods and sniffles again, holding her arm out. She's shaking horribly and can barely hold her hand still. Her partner, for the moment, seems unresponsive]

Th... they might still be out there...

They? They who?

[Rue realizes the first aid kit that Falcomon had suggested she bring with her. While she looks for some burn medication, Falcomon takes her own look at the girl's injuries.]

It might be a good idea if we got them to the hospital or something.

Th-the ones that attacked Panko...

[She's referring to the Dorumon in her lap.]

He was just trying to help me and they attacked him!

Do you remember what they looked like?

[Gently, Rue starts to apply the burn ointment to the other girl's injured arm.] Falcomon, could you check and see if there's a brace of some sort in the kit?

Sure thing.

[monasneverland]

They... looked like worms... big ones.

[Monako winces at the ointment, trying to not start crying again]

[Rue looks up in time to catch the wince.] Sorry.

What color were they? [Falcomon grimaces; there are a few Digimon around that would fit the worm-like description.]

Green... and purple...

[weakly, Monako manages to smile back at Rue]

I-it's okay...

Dokunemon. Child-level, but they're nasty little buggers.

No pun intended, right? [Rue gives her partner an exasperated Look; Falcomon just shrugs.

By now Rue's found an elastic bandage in the kit and has started wrapping it around the other girl's ankle. It's not the pinnacle of medical treatment, but hopefully it should hold until they can get to a real hospital.]

We'd better get out of here before those things get back, then.

Okay...

[Monako looks at her partner, touching his shoulder with a worried expression. He's still not responding, and she's not sure how she's going to carry him, even if he's not all that big.]



(ooc: I made mistake earlier. Monako's partner is a Koemon.)

[Rue may be acting like she has a plan, but in all honesty she's making most of it up as she goes along.]

It'll probably be easiest if you evolve, Falcomon. That way you can carry all three of us, and we'll get to the lightpost quicker.

Right; good idea.

[After sending the first aid kit back into her D-Comm, Rue pulls out her digivice. One call of "Digi-Soul, Charge!" later Aquillamon is standing where Falcomon had been.]

Okay, girls and mon, climb aboard. Next stop, Tetha.

[She's still doing better than Monako, who is so out of her element she doesn't know which way is up currently.

But she's staying calm, if nothing else.

Watching Falcomon evolve gets a bit of a jump and a wide-eyed stare from her though.]

Whoa...

[Calm is good. Nothing wrong with that.

Catching the other girl's reaction, Rue smiles.]

Pretty cool, isn't it? Just wait until your partner is feeling better. He'll be able to evolve to.

[Rue reaches down to help Monako to her feet, supporting the other girl so the weight is kept off of her injured ankle, then helps her over to Aquillamon before boosting her up on the bird's back. With a little help from her partner she gets Monako's digimon up the same way before climbing up herself.

Once up on her partner's back, she turns and looks at the other girl.]

You doing okay?

[monasneverland]

Pan can do that... ?

[Monako stares at Aquillamon for a moment before getting to her feet with Rue's help, climbing up on the bird.

She takes Pan in her arms and holds him tight, nodding.]

Yeah.

When he's feeling better, yeah. [Rue nods.] Though he probably won't turn into a bird, though.

[Hearing Monako's assent, Aquillamon nods.]

Okay then, here we go. Hang on tight!

[Aquillamon flaps her wings to get some momentum going then takes off. In no time the light post that she and Rue had used to get to Dokako comes into view.]

[The comment gets a bit of a smile from Monako, though she doesn't say anything as they're already taking off by that point. She watches the ground below them, actually rather fascinated by being in the air like that.]

[As they close in on the light post Aquillamon slows down but doesn't stop. On her back Rue pulls out her D-Comm and sends the data for Tetha, opening the portal so that Aquillamon can fly through without stopping.

Once they're in Tetha Aquillamon heads immediately for the hospital.]

We should be just about there.

[monasneverland]

Ah--!

How'd you do that?!

[Monako is looking over her shoulder, expecting to see a forest but instead seeing a city.

... on a floating island, even.]

[Rue looks over at the other girl and grins.]

It's how transportation from place to place works in this world. If you have the data for another area you want to go to, all you have to do is find a light post and open the portal.

[Soon they near the hospital. Aquillamon lands as close to the entrance as she can without completely blocking it, then waits for her passengers to get off before devolving to Falcomon.]

Okay, we're here. [With Rue supporting Monako and Falcomon taking charge of her partner, they walk through the entrance of the hospital in search of help.]

Sugoi... That's so neat...

[Monako goes quiet again after that, getting off of Aquillamon with Rue's help once they get there. She keeps a close eye on Koemon, still worried about him. He hasn't stirred since he collapsed, but that could mean anything to some one who knows nothing about digimon.]

[Together the four of them enter the emergency room and head up to the desk.]

Excuse me? I have a friend who needs some help; she and her partner were both attacked.

[Thankfully, the nurse is nice and the lobby doesn't seem too busy. They get to Monako fairly quickly, and she's put in a wheel chair to be taken back with her partner.]

Ah... thank you, Rue.
