[Whoever has this comm doesn't seem to be doing very well. It clicks on to silence at first, but after a time the sound of sniffling and hiccuping can be heard.]

K-kaa-san... tou-san... I wanna go home... I--

[a sob sounds from the little girl, followed by a rustle of leaves. She gasps, and the connection is cut.]

[There's not many clearings in Dokako Jungle, but that's where she is. If he's lucky enough to find her, she won't have moved from wherever she stopped transmitting, and something is clearly wrong because she and her partner both are not in good shape.]

[He comes swooping in. Luckily he did learn how to use the GPS on this D-Comm. He lands and hands it to his partner before they run over to the girl and her partner.]

H-Hey! Little girl! Are you alright? What happened?

[The dragon kneels down beside her, looking her over. What could have done this?]

[Monako jumps in surprise at the dragon, but she doesn't actually seem afraid of him. Even if she was, she can't get far - her ankle is clearly sprained, shoes missing from the school uniform she was in, and her arm is also burned.

On top of that her partner is lying in her lap, an unconscious and unresponsive Dorumon.

She sniffles and rubs a hand across her face.]

P-Panko was trying to get me out of the forest when these really mean worms came after us! Panko is hurt...

[she says nothing of her own injuries, more concerned about her new friend]

Did you say worms?

[The dragon looks around the clearing, trying to see any of these worms with his dragon vision.]

Worms? Tell me, what did these worms look like? [The Dracomon speaks up, moving beside Monako and tilts its head.]

[Monako nods slowly. There doesn't seem to be any around at the moment, but they could be hiding.]

B-big... green and purple, really long antennae... h-had pincers on their backs... I think they poisoned Panko...

[even upset, it's clear Monako has a good head on her shoulders and she managed to get a lot of details even while being attacked]

[Dracomon racked his brain, trying to remember what kind of digimon looked like that. From just the sound of them; they did not sound good.]

"Ja-...Dragon Boy. We need to get her and her partner out of here and to the hospital."

"Y-Yeah. Let's go." The dragon moved over to Monako and looked down at her. "Mind if I carry you to the light post? Your leg looks pretty busted up."

[Monako just nods to him, clearly not afraid of being carried. She knows they need to get out of there, fast, before those digimon come back for round two]

Alright. Hey...Fu-um...partner. Get on my back. [Dracomon nods and moves up onto the dragon's back. Jake dips down and scoops Monako up into his arms. He holds her close and makes sure to keep her digimon in her lap.]

Hang on to your partner, alright? Here we go. [His wings flap and they lift off the ground. He flies up over the trees and heads in the direction he remembers the light post being in.]

Okay...

[she holds on to Dorumon tightly, staying as still as she can so she doesn't accidentally fall while they're flying. She doesn't seem bothered by the height at all, watching the ground move until they get to the lightpost.

That's when she gets confused. She's only been there for a short time after all - she doesn't know what light posts do yet.]

Alright. We can get back to Tetha with this. And then we can get you two to a doctor and then call your parents, alright? Partner?

[The Dracomon nods on his back and activates the D-Comm. A portal opens before them and they step through, appearing on one of the backstreets of Tetha.]

Okay, I'm gonna fly you to the hospital now. Hang on again, okay kid?

(ooc: I derped. Monako's partner is a Koemon, not a Dorumon.)

[Monako only nods in response to him, watching as the portal opens with wide eyes. She's never seen anything like that before!

The next thing she knows they're in a city, and she's still holding on to Koemon tightly.]

I don't know if my parents are here...

O-Oh...well if they aren't I know a guy who can take care of you. Don't worry. I'll give him a call once I get you to the hospital.

Here we go!

[And the dragon takes off again, flying over the buildings and heads for Tetha General Hospital.]

You do?

[Her question comes right as they're taking off. She lets out a squeak at the sudden burst of speed, but once they're in the air she looks down, watching the ground below them rush by]

Y-Yeah. I'll tell you 'bout him when we get there.

[The dragon keeps his speed slower than usual. They arrive at the hospital and he swallows. He needs to get her in and checked in but how is he gonna do this? Hmmm. Well only one way to do it. He rushes in and runs up to the counter.]

Yo, this girl is hurt and her partner is poisoned. Here you go!

[He sets her on the counter and looks to her.] My friend will be here soon. Later!

[With that he takes of quickly, Dracomon exclaiming from his back as they run out of the hospital and take to the air again.]

[Monako is... very confused. And just sits there, blinking.

The nurse is also horribly confused.

What just happened.]

[Half an hour later.]

[A boy in a red and yellow jacket and blue jean shorts with black and green hair walks up to Monako's bed with a smile.]

Hey there. A...friend told me you needed someone to keep you company.

[Monako is in a bed in the ER, arm bandaged and leg in a splint.

And she's giving Jake a very unconvinced stare.]

S-Say whaaaat? N-No. I'm not the dragon. W-What are you talkin' about?

[Yup, not convinced at all.]

I'm a polymorph, too. Your voice is the same.

Polymorph. It means you can turn in to other animals.

[she points at herself]

[Drops his voice to a whisper.]

It's just...I need to keep it a secret. I'm not really a polymorhing...thing or whatever you said. I'm a real dragon and I don't want people knowing there here.

Hontou ni?! You're a real dragon?!

[Sorry, Jake, she's gotten a bit loud here. True dragons are very rare in her world.]
