I am Iskandar, the King of Conquerors.

We have all seen Omegamon's announcement. We have also heard from an anonymous source that there are four settlements whose residents we have a chance to save. Simon the Digger is organizing a rescue mission to one of those settlements and many have expressed their intention to join with him. However! Not all who have expressed interest in aiding those settlements have requested to join Simon.

Small squads of two or three acting independently will not be able to succeed in this mission. We must operate in large groups if we are to succeed. Simon the Digger's group will be able to evacuate the residents of one of the settlements. I, Iskandar, intend to evacuate a second settlement. We shall launch simultaneous strikes on the forces defending each settlement, and in the resulting confusion we shall lead the residents to safety! Those who wish to aid me, raise your voices!

Evacuation would likely be the best option for me. I don't have many combat skills aside from archery and swordsmanship, and I haven't had much practical application of either.

Then the evacuation team is where you shall be.

You should make the time to gain experience in combat, however. One never knows when one may be called upon to defend themselves or others.

I've only been here a short time, and combat was no place for a noble, back home. It hasn't taken me long to realize that things are very, very different here, though.

Thank you for considering me despite my lack experience. I will certainly look in to any training I can get here.

Even with your lack of experience, you have some knowledge of combat as well as a partner Digimon to protect you. Do not neglect to bring a weapon, however. You may be in the safest position in this mission, but there is great potential for things to go awry. You must be prepared.

A strange world you must come from, where the nobility does not go into combat. My men would not have followed me into battle had I not led them from the front of the army. Even before I became king, it was required of me as a noble that I be proficient in combat and horsemanship.

I will have to see what I can find.

[Some how, without Yuri knowing, because he knows the second it's brought up there will be a resounding cry of "What the hell do you think you're doing, your majesty?" from Yuri and Rita. ... and likely Estelle, without the cursing.]

I'm sure there was a time in the past when the nobles of Zaphias were called to fight, but it hasn't been the case for some time, probably since the Great War if not even further back. Though some traditions still remain regardless, such as the teachings of swordsmanship and other weapons along with our daily schooling.

[Ioder pauses, then lets out a bit of a laugh]

I suppose the fact that I'm simply so unimposing doesn't help that the royal knights would rather keep me safe on the throne than let me in to battle.

[He laughs.]

Even with a body smaller than a poppy seed you can still surpass the world if you strive for it! Your royal knights may wish to keep you safe, but it is a king's prerogative to do whatever he wishes, even if others disagree! If you wish to enter the battlefield, then do so, and order your knights to protect you there instead of on your throne!

Emperor, actually. But thank you for that vote of confidence.

Even so, I'm not entirely sure it's suited for me. Some people do, sadly, make better politicians than warriors.

There is nothing impossible to him who will try. But do as you will.

It might be something to consider, for the future. For now, I would like to get through this mission first.
