It has come to my recent attention that you are without a boss.

As it just so happens, I am in need of new boss minions.

We can do great things for each other.

So what's in it for us? We kind of have our own base now.

An empty base, barring Wily's traps and your own upgrades. Given how half of you are weak to each other's weapons, I don't expect that's going to work out well in the long run.

And as I mentioned to the speed demon, I just so happen to have minions without bosses. Additionally, I have empty castles that need some people to man them and make their own upgrades.

You could all have your own territory again.

And if Wily comes back, I won't even expect you to continue your service to me.

I have castles full of minions, and no level bosses.

The castles need that personal touch of a lord, and the minions need direction. You won't be higher up than me. So you'll be a boss-level minion.

So the same position we normally have. I don't know, getting power for another villain seems a bit counter productive for us.

What's that job like?

Done poorly? You get in everyone's faces, inspire hatred in everyone around you, and get backstabbed after several months slash years of abusing your power.

Done properly? You sit back on a throne, delegate your responsibility to suitable underlings, tell people what to do when your underlings can't handle that simple task, and only get off your butt to deal with meddlesome heroes and your own boredom.

There are distinct advantages to being a proper evil overlord.
